Kuba Kawnik was born in Poland. He has been playing on different instruments since he was 5 years old. His primary instrument is the vibraphone, but he also plays drums, marimba, percussion instruments, piano, guitar, violin, kalimba, flute and handsaw. Many years he was a member of the choir "Con Vigore" and concerting with it in many different countries, such as in Argentina. He graduated as a percusionist from the Academy of Music in Lodz, Poland. With the big-band, as a drummer, he took a first place in the Big-bands competition in Poland. He has also studied Jazz music in the Akademy of Music in Katowice, Poland, under the direction of Bernard Maseli. Away from Poland he has concerted in countries such as Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Sweden, Norway and Russia. Recently you can see him playing on cruiseships such as Silversea, Princess, NCL, Celebrity, Royal Carribean, Oceania and Crystal. He recorded two CD's which include very famous and beautiful melodies of the Jazz, soundtrack and classical genres.
